Welcome to Blue Rider. Blue Rider is an online and itinerant gallery that is a resource for people interested in art for art's sake. We specialize in original artwork of the 20th Century, including paintings, prints, sculpture, unusual objects, folk art, studio pottery, tribal weavings and photography . In vetting our inventory our first priority is to present only authentic art objects that have strong aesthetic resonance. Our concern with an artist's fame or documented commercial value runs a distant second .
We hope you will find on the pages of this site many vibrant and compelling works of art created by artists who were, more often than not, unknown, unheralded and unlisted . Blue Rider is dedicated to offering unique 20th Century art at reasonable prices to collectors seeking to acquire artwork for their pleasure and enlightenment. Come see us often as we regularly update the online gallery . We also exhibit at a number of regional shows throughout the year . Click the calendar button on the left for a complete show schedule.
Customer and Sales Policy:
At Blue Rider we strive to offer only authentic and original art work at fair and accessible prices. We want our customers to enjoy their purchases. In keeping with this intention we are happy to take full- refund returns on shipped art if it occurs within 10 days of customer receipt. We only require the returned art to be in its original condition with all freight and insurance charges prepaid. Prices of all art work offered by Blue Rider are given by customer request. Payment for art work will reflect the price of the item, one-way shipping, insurance and packaging costs, and any applicable taxes. Thankyou and enjoy the gallery.

We are in the process of completely refreshing our site. While this activity is under way we would like to present Max Vehrle as our second artist in the Featured Artist Category. The linked page features Vehrle's paintings only. This artist's sculptural work can be seen on our Sculpture page along with other inventory . We hope you enjoy his work and stay tuned for more changes throughout the Blue Rider website in the next few weeks.
